My first snow-

Hello All- quick update for you on my weekend before I head out to Dallas tomorrow for Turkey Day. It SNOWED this weekend! Apparently it isn't supposed to do that for at least another month but it snowed none the less. Mommy got me all bundled up so that I could play in it but I did not like to be out in that cold white stuff. Here are a few pictures of my adventures.

I survived my two month check-up!

So I am 2 months old now so I had to go check in with my Doctor, Dr. Jo, to see how I had grown.

So here are my Stats-

  • 9 weeks and 1 day old
  • Weight- 12lbs 1.5 oz- 75th percentile
  • Length- 22 3/4 inches- 75th percentile
  • Head- 38.4 cm- 50th percentile

So I guess the Chunky Monkey nickname Mommy has been calling my does not apply as much as she thought! Dr. Jo also said that she thought that I was progressing very nicely. I am now tracking things with my eyes and she was very impressed that I was sleeping through the night ( most nights ) and that I already rolled over from my tummy to my back ( I am not supposed to be able to do that for another whole month yet!) I also decided to show her both my smile and my vernacular of goos and coos- she was very impressed.

After the doctor left the nurse came back and stuck me with three different shots! Mommy was much more nervous than I was. I took them like a champ. I cried a little when I got the shots but I was a big girl and calmed right down afterwards, and I did get some band-aids that matched my outfit so that was a bonus. I think I will just sleep a little extra tonight until I feel all better. Mom is happy that I have had these shots to protect me on my very first flight that I am taking next week. That is right- I am headed to Dallas for Thanksgiving to see Auntie Kristie and Uncle J, Grami and Grandpa and meet my Uncle Andy. I can't wait!! I will make sure to update you all on how it goes next week. Love you all!

My very busy week- in pictures

So I am 2 months old today! That is right 62 whole days and the last 7 have been super busy. Here is what I have been up to.

I had GREAT a visit from my GREAT Aunt Becky- she came all the way from Arizona. That's the furthest visitor yet! It was so fun to have her here. I got to help make a special dinner for her birthday. We hope to go to AZ to visit her this Spring!

While Aunt Becky was here Mommy and Daddy and I got our pictures taken by some professional people. I was a very good girl and tried to show them my best smile. Here are some of my best pictures

I also had my 8 week birthday and celebrated with a Hershey Bar

So that was my busy week- I hope you had a great one! As always Mommy has uploaded all of my recent pictures and my professional ones to my web album. Love you all- Hope to Skype with you soon!

7 weeks old

Hello!
I am now seven weeks old and I have started to talk! Of course Mommy and Daddy claim that they can't understand me but I just say it louder and maybe someday they will get it. Here are a few videos of my vocal abilities. Check out my smiles too! Love you- Emma

My First Halloween

Hello Everyone-
I am just getting over the excitement of last week so I thought I would fill you in on it. Last week my Aunt Meaghan came to visit me from Colorado. Okay she isn't my real aunt but she and Mommy have been friends since they were in 5th grade. That is a long time! While she was here we did some fun things. I got to ride the chocolate ride at Chocolate world, and I got to go to my first big mall shopping trip in Baltimore ( I think there might be many more in my future if Mommy has her way.) I tried my best not to yell too much while she was here- I am hoping to get a new friend out of the deal. No luck yet.

It was also Halloween while Aunt Meggie was here. Mommy and Daddy told me this was a great holiday where little ones dress up and go around the neighborhood and ask for candy. I got to meet many of the kids in our neighborhood as they came by to pick up their King Size Reese's. They all looked pretty excited. I can't wait until I can get candy next year. I did get to dress up this year though. I had three different outfits. I was the Cat in the Hat- (I love that book,) a pumpkin and a Lady Bug. I got to wear my costumes to Daddy's office and meet all of his nice coworkers and even the BIG Kiss. It was so fun, even Mommy dressed up- she was my Mummy. She thought it was pretty funny but I didn't get it.

In other news, I turned 6 weeks old right before Halloween. Because I am becoming such a big girl I decided that I would give Mommy a break and sleep all the way through the night. That is right -I slept 7 and a half hours straight, without even a snack. It felt good but I don't think I will do it every night just yet. I did it again last night though. I like to keep Mommy and Daddy on their toes. I am also smiling and cooing more, especially in the morning. Mommy is trying to get me on video so stay tuned for that.

Well that was my week- check out all of my many halloween costumes in my new photo album. Love you all and I will to you soon!
