Dr.'s Appointment Update

As promised here are the stats from my recent doctor's appointment with Dr. Jo-

6 months and 1 week old

  • 16 pounds and 6 1/2 oz's

( Mommy guessed 16.5-17 lbs pretty close!)

  • 26.5 inches long/tall

  • Head circumference 42.9 cm

I am still in the 75th percentile for my height but I have dropped down to the 60th percentile for my weight ( it must be all the wiggling I am doing) and Dr. Jo predicts that I am going to a long and lanky baby as I get older. She was also very impressed with my sitting. She said I was very advanced to be able to sit up straight and balance myself while I play. She also noticed that I have what Mommy calls stranger anxiety. I do get a little scared when I meet new people so don't be offended if I cry a little. Dr. Jo says that since I am starting this early hopefully it will pass quickly.

I also had to get 4 shots this time including a flu shot! I took them like a champ and only cried a little. I slept it off last night ( I slept in until 10 in morning!) I am feeling 100% today.

I am also including a few pictures from attending my first birthday party this weekend. My fun neighbors Gabi and Lance turned 2 last week. It was so fun to hang out with so many little people!

Hope you have a great week! Love,

Social Butterfly

Hello~
I have had a very busy week! Usually my weeks consist of playing with Mommy with the occational trip to Target thrown in for fun. However this week I had three different "events" planned.

  • First on Wednesday I got to go to lunch with Mommy's friend Alyssa and my new boyfriend Evan. Evan is 5 weeks old and so little and cute! I just wanted to give him kisses but it was hard when we were across the table strapped into our carseats. When he gets bigger we are going to play together.

  • On Thursday we got to see Daddy's friend Avril who was visiting from somewhere called Canada- I think it is as cold as it is at Grandma and Grandpa von Goertz's where he lives. We had dinner at Daddy's coworker's and I got to play with their adorable daughters Gabby (6 1/2) and Caroline (3.) I had so much fun playing with them and I can't wait to grow up and be just like them! Here are some pictures of our fun-

  • On Friday I got to meet up with Mommy's work friends and have lunch at Chili's. I met them once before but this time I kept my eyes open the whole lunch and even smiled a bit.

  • Saturday we went to see 45,000 snow geese and white swans at a nature park. That is a lot of birds!

After my busy week I was ready for a nice long nap! I hope you all had a great week- Love you!

Rolly-Polly

Daddy is Back!

For those of you who didn't know Daddy has been traveling almost the whole month of February and some of March. As of Wednesday Daddy does not have any more travel planned for work. That means he has more time to play with me YAY!

While he was gone I learned some new tricks. On of those new tricks is rolling ALL the way over. For months now I have been able to roll from my stomach to my back but as of last week I have been able to roll from my back to my tummy. Here is one of my first attempts-

I have also started doing something else- teething. I don't like it very much. In fact I have had to wake Mommy and Daddy up a few times at night for the past several days to let them know that I was not happy. To help me feel better Mommy has been giving me COLD water in a sippy cup. I am not sure what to think about it but I don't mind chewing on it for now. Maybe if I get some teeth I can try some of Daddy's girl scout cookies.

Lastly, I tried a new vegetable this week, sweet potatos. They are quite yummy and they make me look a little like the joker. Maybe I can wear them for Halloween next year.

So that is the news this week- Hope you all had a great one!

Love
Emma
